du and ADIO Partner to Support Digital Transformation for UAE Manufacturers

du has entered into a partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) to provide advisory and consultancy services aimed at supporting digital transformation across the UAE’s manufacturing sector. The agreement was announced during the Make it in the Emirates forum and is designed to help enterprises adopt and scale advanced technologies more effectively.

Under the collaboration, du Tech will contribute structured advisory support that guides companies through innovation and implementation processes from concept through to execution. The initiative is intended to bridge the gap between technology adoption and scalable deployment, aligning industrial digitisation efforts with the UAE’s wider economic and manufacturing objectives.

The partnership adds du’s technical capabilities to ADIO’s Smart Manufacturing Programme, which is focused on strengthening industrial development in Abu Dhabi. By combining advisory services with the programme’s existing framework, the two organisations aim to help manufacturers improve operational efficiency and accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies.

Leadership Comments

Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO of du, said the partnership reflects the company’s role in supporting the UAE’s innovation ecosystem. He noted that advanced technology capabilities and structured funding pathways can help organisations move beyond transformation plans and achieve larger-scale impact in line with the country’s vision.

Mohamed Ali Al Kamali, Chief of Industry and Trade at ADIO, said the collaboration will leverage du Tech’s technical expertise through the Smart Manufacturing Programme. According to Al Kamali, the initiative will help industrial facilities adopt advanced technologies faster, raise productivity, diversify locally manufactured products, and improve the competitiveness of the industrial sector.

Focus on Implementation

During the forum, du Tech presented a showcase outlining how its advisory service supports the journey from concept development to deployment. The presentation highlighted the practical steps businesses may take when integrating digital tools into industrial operations.

The partnership is part of ADIO’s broader efforts to support Abu Dhabi’s industrial base by providing businesses with technical frameworks and guidance for digital transformation. It also underscores the growing importance of industry-led collaboration in enabling manufacturers to adopt new technologies at scale.

Industry Analysis

The agreement reflects a wider trend in the Gulf region, where industrial policy is increasingly tied to digital capability and operational efficiency. For manufacturers, access to advisory services can be a critical factor in moving from pilot projects to full implementation, especially when technology adoption must align with production goals and business strategy.

For Abu Dhabi, the collaboration may strengthen the emirate’s position as an industrial and innovation hub by supporting local manufacturing competitiveness. It also illustrates how telecom and technology providers are expanding beyond connectivity services into strategic digital enablement for enterprise clients.

As manufacturers continue to modernise operations, partnerships such as this may become more important in helping businesses navigate technology selection, deployment planning, and long-term scalability.
