Telr and Geidea Link Online and In-Store Payments in the UAE
Telr has partnered with Geidea to connect online and in-store payment acceptance for merchants in the UAE, bringing together digital gateway capabilities and physical point-of-sale terminals under one integrated setup.
Through the collaboration, Telr’s e-commerce acquiring infrastructure is linked with Geidea’s retail hardware, enabling businesses to manage transactions across both online and offline channels from a single environment. The companies said the arrangement is intended to streamline payment acceptance for merchants operating in a multi-channel retail landscape.
Telr operates as a licensed payments acquirer regulated by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) and offers a proprietary payment gateway for processing digital transactions across multiple channels. Geidea, meanwhile, provides point-of-sale solutions for physical retail businesses in the UAE.
According to the companies, the partnership is designed to deliver a unified commerce experience that reduces operational complexity for retailers and supports consistent payment handling across customer touchpoints. The integration is positioned as a way for merchants to bring together online sales and in-store payments within one coordinated setup.
Khalil Alami, Founder and CEO of Telr, said the company’s proprietary technology is built to provide faster and seamless experiences across different channels. He added that Geidea extends this capability into physical retail, creating “one unified ecosystem built for growth in a digital-first economy.”
Pankaj Kundra, CEO of Geidea, said the collaboration combines complementary strengths to create a seamless commerce ecosystem. He said the arrangement gives merchants greater flexibility, deeper insights, and the ability to scale with confidence.
The companies did not disclose financial terms or implementation timelines. However, the agreement reflects a broader trend in the UAE payments sector toward integrated commerce infrastructure that supports both digital and physical retail operations.
Industry Analysis
The Telr-Geidea partnership highlights the growing demand among merchants for unified payment solutions that simplify operations across sales channels. As consumer behavior continues to shift between online and in-store purchasing, payment providers are under increasing pressure to offer interoperable tools that support a consistent merchant experience.
For the UAE market, the collaboration also underscores the continuing development of payments infrastructure backed by regulated and technology-driven players. By combining acquiring capabilities with point-of-sale hardware, the two companies are positioning themselves to serve businesses seeking greater efficiency, better transaction visibility, and a more connected retail setup.
In practical terms, such integrations may help merchants reduce fragmentation in payment management while improving the customer journey at checkout. As the region’s retail and digital commerce ecosystems mature, partnerships like this are likely to become increasingly relevant for businesses looking to scale across channels.
